For a guy who's just about in front of a camera/microphone a few times a week, he's been totally missing since the anti-Americans took over Columbia.

Gee, I hope he's ok and not just in hiding.

He's still about, but has better things to do, such as illegalizing weed.

Mr. Schumer has issued a statement regarding Columbia, so he's aware of goings on. Old geezer has a lot on his plate atm.

That being said, believe me when I say there isn't a US politician more pro Israel than Mr. Schumer. He may not always say what people will have him say, but make no mistake he's crafty and informed.

The man's a coward as he just jumped on the bandwagon of condemning the protesters within the last few days as ever one else did.

I agree the man is very crafty and plays the game well.

But as having more important things to do, like illegal weed, that's BS. The recent events on the colleges should have been on top of his agenda.

Chuck Schumer has said his piece and continues to speak out on current situations as they roll out. OTOH the man is mindful of fact he represents all of NYS and is ranking democrat in senate. Oh and don't forget this is an election year. While he himself isn't up for reelection, that Gillibrand woman and other democrats both in NYS and elsewhere are.

Democrats may lose the WH to Trump come November, but they'll be darned to lose their majority in senate and not take back the House. To do that they've got to do things that will rally their base and thus get them to vote.

If you look about many politicians in Washington, D.C. and elsewhere are being cagey on how they react to current situation. Mr. Ackerman is a private citizen and can do what he wants with his billions and in how expresses opinions.

How exactly is supporting a genocide, accepting bribes from the tax-free foreign entity AIPAC, and giving literally trillions to another country being anti-American? Personally, I'm America First. If our politicians are unable to provide Americans with the help they need first - meaning healthcare, housing, education, fixing our infrastructure, then we have no business helping out other countries - even if it's not for genocidal purposes.

In other words, the Dem base is full of Marxist, terrorist sympathizers who hate America and Western Civialization and Chucky doesn't want to offend them in fear they stay home on election day. Got it!!

They wanted to and are destroying the country from within. Russia doesn’t have to lift a finger. You got these hookers that are selling out the country one dollar at a time.

Very interesting article by Paul Craig Roberts which all the so-called conservatives on here should read as a wake up call:

The US Constitution Is Another Victim of Genocide

Republican US senators are no better friends of the US Constitution than the administrators at Columbia University, Netanyahu and the Israel Lobby, the NYPD, and the ***** media.

For example, Senator Marsha Blackburn (R, TN) labeled as “terrorists” students who protest against Israel’s destruction of Palestine. In order to protect Israel from students protesting genocide, Blackburn wants the students added to the terrorist watch list and prohibited from flying:

Any student who has promoted terrorism or engaged in terrorists[sic] acts on behalf of Hamas should be immediately be [sic] added to the terrorist watch list and placed on the [Transportation Security Administration] No Fly List,” Blackburn wrote on X (formerly Twitter) on Monday. https://sputnikglobe.com/20240502/us...118220031.html

The stupid US senator sees the students as acting “on behalf of Hamas” and not on the basis of their moral conscience.

Senator Rick Scott (R, FL) accuses protesting students of violating Israel’s right to commit genocide and wants the US Justice (sic) Department to investigate the students for “conspiring to violate the civil rights of a religious minority.” US senators are falling all over themselves pimping for Netanyahu’s final solution to the “Palestinian Problem.”

One can see American conservatives supporting these demands, not realizing that their own Constitutional rights are in the crosshairs.

Keep up the good fight Stormgirl, but these students have no moral compass if they did they wouldn't prevent their fellow students from having free use of the campus. So yes, there are civil rights abuses going on.
