Yeah they gave me my conditional acceptance to Hunter like about two months ago. Im pretty sure you can pick where you want to take your remedial course, but you have to do it quickly because I know spots fill up fast. If I were you I would call the Hunter Testing Center like today and speak to them about it. They only have their courses in summer, they do have a course in fall also but I think its best if you took the summer one. How did you find your results so quickly? Im still waiting for my results to get posted and its been almost 3 weeks.

In Queens College, they gave me the results as soon as I finished the test, lol.
I got a letter about this test today. Is it guaranteed admission if you pass it? The test is after the deposit deadline for other colleges and I'm not sure what to do.

The test has nothing to do with admission. It's to place you in the proper math class.
Actually, it depends. If you are a conditionally accepted student, you must get over 45 on the first two parts of the math test. If you do not meet these standards, but are still somewhat close to it, they will enroll you into an immersion course for about two weeks and then you will be allowed to take the test again. However, if they think your score is too low, they will say you need a full remedial course, a semester long, in math in order to take it again. Most of the senior colleges do not offer remedial courses like that so they would ask you to take it at a community college. Once you take the class there, pass the class, and pass the test with that schools minimal grade requirement, you would be able to enroll.

They didn't tell you? For some reason I thought I remembered them telling me. I know there's algebra but my math terminology isn't quite up there so I don't really know all the code words for the different kinds of math. Give the office a call and ask though. Worth a shot. Good luck.
Tbh I guessed like 75% of the math test and passed. I havn't taken math since freshman year in high school and dont plan to take it ever again.
Really it makes no sense to have us take math then be able to stop taking it for 2+ years and test us on the same math for a college entry exam.
Cuny does have some ridiculous requirements for graduation such as a foreign language requirement. Currently a junior @ hunter and dreading the 16 credit requirement in foreign language, something I will never ever use.
