As most Bronxites and New Yorkers know, the Bronx's Little Italy is in Belmont. However, since the 1980s, the area is filled with a more diverse demographic (Italians, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, Mexicans, Albanians).

By the way for those who don't know, Belmont's boundaries are Southern Blvd (E), 183rd Street (S), 3rd-Washington Avs (W), and 191st Street (N).

There are changes in the storefronts and the languages the people speak in the Belmont area. Do you think the evolution of Belmont is for the better or for the worse?

Morris Park is a mostly Italian neighborhood. But its not really considered Little Italy, just a mostly Italian neighborhood.

Arthur Avenue/Belmont still has the title because the businesses there have remained high quality and are still authentic.

Not sure how you expect this question to be answered. Every neighborhood in the city has changed over time. Are we really expected to judge changes as being better or worse?

The way that I mean is that if Belmont's status as a "good neighborhood" has changed for the better or for the worse when it comes to the behavior of the people, the safety/crime, and the things that exist in Belmont.
