Flushing is a huge neighborhood (sort of like Flatbush in Brooklyn) and spreads across quite a bit of territory in Queens. Did you have a particular part of Flushing in mind? In general, no, it's not "dangerous."

Main Street is fine at night but I would avoid some sections of Northern Blvd.

Downtown Flushing is still pretty busy at night around Main St, Roosevelt, the Library, etc. There are always lots of people transferring from the 7 to buses until late at night. It's safe.

One section of Northern Blvd that is sketchy is on the west bound side, between Parsons Blvd and Union St. There are a few buildings with kids hanging out in the front that look like trouble.

It sounds like you've been hearing stories. Don't believe everything you hear.

I wouldn't go to the Bland Housing Project in the middle of the night. But otherwise, for the most part, Flushing is safe at night.

What are you flushing? Sometimes my toilet backs up at night...

Flushing, Queens, is quite a vibrant, diverse, energetic part of the City. It's safe all the time. Flushing Blvd, well, that's pretty dangerous, what with the horrible drivers and all.
