sorry for for re-asking this question, but surfed through the forum and wasnt able to get the info...does anyone know when the next motorman exam will be ? and when was the last one?
thanks!
Hi in case your question wasn't answered.
The last Train Operator(motorman) exam was in 2009 but the list was created as Notice of Result on 7/7/2010. The Train Operator Exam # 8098.
Total List Number 11,077.
I was wondering, does anyone know what list number they are up to for exam 8098? i took the exam, got a 97.5% with roughly a 850 placement on the list. should i give up on a call this year or keep my dreams a live?

They have not started calling anyone from the open competitive list. They are currently calling off the promotion list which has around 800 on it. They are currently half way through the promotion list.
Contact DCAS (you can also visit their office on Washington Street, just above Bowling Green).
Ordinarily, having a list number in the low 2000s isn't a very good sign. But you never know what's going to happen--everything will depend on A) how many people actually get called, and B) how many people turn down the invitation when it comes.
Hi guys. I am currently taking Clonazepam (Klonopin) for mild panic attacks, and Lexapro for anxiety and depression. Does this disqualify me for the position of train operator? Or do I just have to make sure I am off those pills before they call me?
It shouldn't disqualify you...but you should be prepared if you're taking a train over, let's say, the Williamsburg Bridge in the middle of winter, some person activates the emergency brakes, and you as the train operator have to walk around your whole train--yes, that's a requirement of the job! MTA won't accept an excuse of being prone to panic attacks.
