yeah last year not many guys i saw retiring. beside with the 2 classes that went in last year it covered for whoever left. But i am starting to have hope there will be one soon. Its like everyone is telling me so many guys are leaving so there has to be one soon. And when they tell me that I start to get excited. The only reason I didn't leave a few years ago was because i thought I would of been a sanitation worker by last year. I didn't want to leave Sanitation just to come back and lose my contacts I have built along the years.
Honestly thou it isn't sanitation thats holding us back from hiring. It is the mayor. So even if we are 400 below headcount( which we aren't , just throwing a random number out there), if he doesn't want to approve for a class then there wont be a class.
Oh well, so yeah. Let hope for a november/december class.
Maybe to get votes the mayor will approve a class of sanitation workers LOL. I heard that DC37 is backing up the other guy running for mayor. DC37 is a big union and usually the other unions follow it. So Bloomy will have to try to get some other unions to support him.
