i really like going there and all, but the heavy expenses leads me to think that people work multiple jobs and thats something i wont do.

im about to get my associates in computer info systems, and im probably gonna go on to get my bachelors in programming or networking.

i dont plan on living in manhattan either

NY is such a huge place. You can definitely make it on a programmers salary. It all depends on what type of life interests you, and what in particular you are looking for.
