Hi,
We were planning to visit Lake Ontario NY. Are there any scenic coastline drives or any natural locations, beach scenery etc. like say in upper peninsula MI?

Any suggestions, pictures etc would also be helpful.

Sandy Pond, Westcott Beach, Sackets Harbor, by the SUNY Oswego campus, Cape Vincent and more. Take Route 3 and Route 104. Great Lakes Seaway Trail

Thousand Islands, Clayton and Alexandria Bay are on St Lawrence rather than on the lake but also worth a look.

I would definitive suggest the Seaway Trail tour. It's a very gorgeous route, and much of it intersects with the various Wine Trails as well

Having traveled twice along the north shore of Lake Ontario, from Montreal to Toronto..recently..I was reminded and taken back what a huge inland sea the lake is..It goes on for hours on end. Just wish it was not a rushed trip..sure looks like a treasure to be enjoyed..maybe some day I will take a few days and explore the actual coast..We take this great lake and river for granted..it is spectacular and historical. I am sure that American side is great!

Thanks guys for all the input. Looking at the seaway trail guide, there seems to be a lot of interesting towns and history. Plan to check it out soon.....
