Dutchess County schools (Arlington: best school, taxes, living)

We are relocating up to Dutchess County and need some help in deciding which school district would be the better choice. We have children that will be going into the elementary school. We are trying to decide between moving into the Arlington or Wappingers school district. It appears that the taxes are higher in the Arlington district, is it worth the cost to move into the Arlington district or is Wappingers just as good? There so many new developments in both districts to choose from that it is difficult to decide. I want to narrow the choice by starting with the best school district. Any thoughts on the different developments? Not thrilled about living on a mountain with the snow and ice.

Hi JR as a former Arlington student I have to say both school districts have gone DOWN hill.
If you must pick 1 of those then Arlington is safer than Wapp Central. If you are looking for great schools then head north. Upper Dutchess or Columbia County.
