On a side note, in terms of other NY micro areas, Oneonta and Batavia were 75th and 79th respectively, out of 542 micro areas.

Albany was the highest ranked metro area at the 46th spot. NYC is 52nd and Poughkeepsie is 97th to round out the top 3 NY metros in the study.

It may have been decades ago but the ever increasing trend of economic depression has reached the very northern parts of the state too! Life there in terms of standard of living is much lower than it was in the 1960s which should be alarming!
