As a Democrat, I have all kinds of reservations about her, and since she just announced her "exploratory" intent as a presidential candidate last night, I wondered about her fan base here.

Okay, you proved that your reply is completely worthless, since it's presumably your response to all Democrats.

I have reservations about her as well.

Remember back in 2009 when Patterson appointed her to Hillary's seat when Hillary became sec of state? Gillibrand was a very conservative Democrat at the time. She had an A rating from the NRA, was against immigration. Then she did a 180. Is for gun control and wants ICE to be abolished. The only thing that didn't change over the year's are her ties to wall street. Especially Goldman.

She sold her soul for Hillary's seat. I wouldn't trust a word she says. I remember how she flipped 180 too.

I don't know. She lies. Said she wasn't going to run for president when that became an issue when she was running for the senate seat but now that she's won the senate seat, has all of a sudden changed her mind & is now running for presidency. She comes across as a mini Hillary to me. And not in a good way.

I've voted for Chuck Schumer but not for Ms. Gillibrand. I live in the district she represented in Congress and remember her touting her A rating from the NRA and even claiming she slept with guns under her bed. She actually won more because her opponent, the incumbent Repub John Sweeney, had a series of bad publicity regarding drinking and domestic violence right before the election.

When Hillary became Sec of State, Gillibrand did a lot of behind the scenes campaigning to get the vacated Senate seat and I'm sure the Clintons helped. She has since taken identity politics to a new level while simultaneously accomplishing absolutely nothing. Every campaign it's the same thing, protecting a woman's right to choose, protecting the rights of the LGBQT in the military, etc. She better hope the Clintons have become irrelevant because she really stabbed Bill in the back and this after they frequently campaigned for her and helped her raise cash.

Her ties to the financial industry seems to be at odds with the new progressive wing of the Democratics and doesn't help her. And going back a few when she explained her work as a lawyer for the tobacco industry as a "way to earn a living so she could do pro bono work for women's issues" came across as total BS.

I think she's a complete fraud.

When the FAA introduced NextGen to our area, in June 2012, planes now were re-routed to where they never were before, OUR NEIGHBORHOODS.

They now fly extra low, and every 30 seconds apart. all day, every day.
they do rotate runways, but Senators Gillibrand and Schummer turned a deaf ear to our please to have the FAA put back the flight paths back to their traditional routes.

People bought homes, and apartments, only now to have our quiet taken away, at the mercy of the FAA, and both of our senators did nothing about it. Nothing! It is now 2018, and nothing has changed, except the a small percentage of the planes seem to be a little quieter.

I live clear across the land from LGA, all the way on the other side of Brooklyn, I knew how the area was before I moved in, I did do my due dilligence. I do live down the block from an elevated train, that was here long before me, and I'm fine with it.

However, landing planes to LGA were not here for the first 25 years I lived here, until June 2012, when the FAA, as if by divine right, just changed all the flight paths. Long Island, which was quiet, not city-fied, away from airports, are now faced with the same problem, only coming from JFK.

Our senators, Gillibrand and Schummer did nothing for them either, so my answer for Gillibrand, is no, I hate this woman, she will never win, and for the record Schummer is a big dope

Women should just stick to teaching and nursing and never have any ambitions? It’s ridiculous women get held to a saintly high standard, while we have a sleazy rapist who has shut the government down for the longest period history.
