How is this town? Is it safe? Are the schools good?

I spent alot of time there. I'd say it's safe. Still have family there.

If you go hanging around parts of Poughkeepsie or Newburg maybe you'll find some shady spots.

But it's been awhile so things may of changed.

What do you plan to do there? raise a family? Work?

its a nice town with 2 high schools. close to rt84, Taconic, shopping n Rt 9 (main arterial with all the big box stores and a mall). Some parts are nice than others (do your research). Parts of it lock in with Fishkill and others with Beacon. John Jay High school is the better high school from what I hear.
