In terms of not pricing renters out, but also for landlords to recoup costs via rent.

I'm not getting where you say it's a catch 22. Maybe give me an example

Do you know what Catch 22 means? I just explained what I was referring to and previous posts like the information in one of the articles Bugsy posted about CA and even the Syracuse example I posted illustrate this.

You keep saying this sight is for providing information. Why can't you just answer the question? I already looked at the other comments and links and they don't make sense as far as what you are saying. So obviously I just wanted to understand in your words what you are saying.

I already provided examples and an explanation. I don't know what else to tell you. It honestly wasn't meant to be complicated or confrontational, but it was stated in relation to those examples, the recent economy the past couple of years(inc. moratoriums on rent) and what may be a dilemma for landlords and tenants.

Is this what you are talking about, catch 22? Without some numbers and examples, its just words. Should be simple to explain

It already was explained and examples were given though. Again, do you know what the expression/term Catch 22 means or eludes to in terms of a complicated situation? This is getting away from the topic. Wow...

A catch 22 is when you get what you want, but coupled with that you also get what you don't want. Geez, you couldn't even say that right ---"a complicated situation" says nothing without facts to explain the situation.

And yeah, double wow

As a lifelong landlord, i haven't a clue what you are saying, and I'm afraid you also don't.

Right, but I'm talking about the general situation, not just one side. Again, go back to the examples and explanation I gave. It really isn't hard to understand.

And the insanity continues. I will help you out. An example of a catch 22 could be someone was able to secure an apartment, but didn't have the income to pay. That's why I say where is the catch 22? This is about securing the apartment at a lower rate. How does the landlord benefit when his income has been cut?
