As big money continues its trek upstate it's upsetting lots of apple carts (see what I did there?).

Local farmers cannot compete with wealthy downstate persons or entities buying up land to create their "dream" and "vision".

These people suck. They really do. They are a cancer.
Locals need to stand up to them. Yeah the money some of them bring is nice but at what cost?
Can’t stand these city bungholes I really loathe them.

These downstate people are same sort of farmers as Jon Bon Jovi and others were in New Jersey. A change in tax laws solved that problem...

As a new resident in the HV from an urban area I hear this a lot. I try to be nice to my new neighbors but after getting called “citiot” a few times I lose sympathy for the locals and their issues. Honestly the newcomers are an upgrade.

Yeah no. They are not upgrade. And I’m not trying to be a butthole here, but your statement proves the point.

I am far to the west of the Hudson Valley. We have seen a much smaller influx of "pilgrims" out our way. To be fair..my interactions with those buying proprty/homes out near my farm......from LI, NYC, NJ, Philly...has been mixed....good..soso..and a few..terrible.
