WNY Business Hall of Fame: Robert Coles (1929-)

A new group of seven historic figures — including Robert Coles — has been selected for the Western New York Business Hall of Fame.

The new honorees will be inducted at a Nov. 1 ceremony at the Buffalo History Museum. Profiles of all seven are being posted this week on Business First’s website.

The total membership of the Business Hall of Fame is now 22, including the 15 inaugural honorees who were inducted in November 2017. The museum hosts the Western New York Business Hall of Fame as a permanent exhibit.

Founding sponsors of the Hall of Fame are Evans Bank, Freed Maxick CPAs, Hodgson Russ LLP, Walsh Duffield Cos. Inc., the Buffalo History Museum and Buffalo Business First.

Another example of someone with long time Upstate roots is this guy running for the state Attorney General position: Keith Wofford for Attorney General

During an interview this past Saturday morning on this Buffalo radio station: https://www.power965radio.com Wofford mentioned that his father’s side of the family has been in Buffalo since the 1920’s and his mother’s side has been in Southern Ontario/WNY since the 1850’s. He is also a graduate of City Honors, which is arguably the “best” HS in the state in terms of public/magnet schools.
