Shumpert’s dad is a former Syracuse University star and J-D has a history of good Basketball programs with a nice mix of star players(has had 3 guys go to the NBA, has had a McDonalds All American and the state’s 13th all time leading scorer(would have made NBA if not injured in college). Very good school district that has quite a few college/university affiliated residents and has some of the most affluent neighborhoods in the metro area. Similar SD’s in other areas would be Amherst Central and Brighton, to give an idea of the type of SD it is.
