My family and I are considering a move to Stamford, NY. Does anyone have any information about it? I've googled it and have found very little. Anything relevant would be appreciated. Thanks!

Stamford is east of Oneonta in Delaware County I believe it is. I've driven through it a half dozen or so times in the summer. It is a small, well-kept village with a lot of antique shops that draw people from greater NYC and elsewhere. There is a small lake nearby as well. I don't know much about the schools. I suppose Oneonta would be the nearest "city" with hospitals and such. My impression of it is positive.
