My family and I are considering a move to Stamford, NY. Does anyone have any information about it? I've googled it and have found very little. Anything relevant would be appreciated. Thanks!
Stamford is east of Oneonta in Delaware County I believe it is. I've driven through it a half dozen or so times in the summer. It is a small, well-kept village with a lot of antique shops that draw people from greater NYC and elsewhere. There is a small lake nearby as well. I don't know much about the schools. I suppose Oneonta would be the nearest "city" with hospitals and such. My impression of it is positive.
I lived and worked there not much of anything school is okay, lil ruff.town has nothing but a grand union, oneonta is bigger malls and college, lots of things to do, but like i said before no money up here and alls it does is snow or rain.
