My husband & I have lived in Queens all our married life...38 years to be exact. My son who is married now lives in the Redhook area of Dutchess County. They love living there. When my husband & I would visit we fell in love with the area. Of course, visiting and living are two different things. Making a move like that is tremendous when your social life is where you live. If we were to make a move like that I would consider a townhome in a developement with ammenties and geared to people our age. I would like a developement that is fairly new. We like to swim, go to a gym. I think prices would be better than Long Island. Any suggestions as to developements in the Hudson Valley Area? Would it be a tremendous change? I say a new developement because other people are looking to make friends too.
Maybe Hyde Park, the part of Poughkeepsie in the Arlington School District or Wappingers Falls. For something smaller, Spackenkill. For something more small town, try Red Hook, Millbrook and New Paltz, which is just in Ulster County.
If anyone has info on woodbury junction in orange county that would be great. I know its a multigenerational developenment with townhomes for the active adult and homes for young families. Is it a good location? Thanks.

I went to see the WCI community called Four Corners in Hopewell Junction. Does it have a good reputation. How far is the train station if you had to commute to the city? Also, I saw toll brothers Van Wyck Glen & the homes were beautiful. Does this community have a good reputation? What is the commute to downtown Manhattan from there? I would appreciate any info.
Before I was BORN, Daddy was a C/O at Green Haven Prison 1960, Anybody from that area?? Curious
O-Way
