It's built on the same platform as the JX35 Infinity. It will come with 1 engine only on the first offering and that's the 3.5 V6. Size should be about that of the JX35 which means it's about 4" longer than the current model. It is unibody construction which should translate into more fuel mileage. Still, this may be more than the 3.5 is capable of handling full time. Only you as an owner, the real world test mule, will be able to relate that information. I see it as a totally new and different segment vehicle from the original Pathfinder.
Anyone know when the model or pricing will be released? I keep hearing "Fall" but nothing beyond that. The official Nissan site has some decent info on the Pathfinder features, but nothing too detailed.
I really like the Infiniti JX but don't care to spend that much money. The new Pathfinder looks very impressive- I'm curious what a fully loaded one will go for. They need to keep a bit of price difference between that and the JX.

Soccer mom minivan is more like it. That's mostly who drove them anyway.
I guess that leaves but one and I'm guessing the 4runner will be a crossover by the 2014 model year like all the rest of them.

So you need a rugged looking vehicle to drive down the freeway to work?
How about some common sense? Like vehicles that get at least 40mpg. Maybe if I buy some commercial time I could brainwash the population into thinking Priuses look "Rugged"

Anyone looking to purchase a pathfinder isn't doing so for its superb mpg. They want a suv. Plus, why change the design to resemble the other SUV's in you're lineup?
