It seems like everytime someone says they are going to be at your house at a certain time they never show up no call no nothing , is that rude or am I just being silly ? I think it is very rude and very inconsiderate not to even call and tell me you are not coming or you will be late . Is that not rude or what ? some people dont see that as rude . I do . what do you think rude or not ?
Of course it's rude.
Very rude.
Unless they TRULY had an emergency - like a CAR WRECK or something which rendered them incapable of calling, absolutely it is rude.
Those folks would be waiting a looonnngggg time (as in never) for another invite from me.

Yes, of course it is rude. I would discard such people if they do it all the time. They have no respect for you.
How can someone not see that is rude? Especially not showing up at all. One time is all that would take for me.
Now people who are notoriously late are a different story. They seem to think we should understand they are going to do that. I do have someone I now always give an earlier tie to in HOPES they will maybe be on time. Drives me nuts.
RUDE....but happens all the time...if someone doesn't show up when they say they will...I don't hang around....I got that from my dad....when we were kids, if we weren't ready to go when he was, he'd leave without us.
It's rude. You could have an appointment after they are supposed to visit. Instead you have to sit around waiting for them to show up or wondering if they will come at all.
Here's one. Same people who are always late to our house are never ready when they invite us to their house. We are always prompt. Yet one of them is always getting ready/still in the shower when we arrive.
