Met a person, same sex, at an audition. She seemed like an interesting sort, and when the audition ended, I asked if she'd like to go for coffee. She said, "Sure" and we became friends. Of course, we had the theater in common so there was that jumping off point.
We went to shows. We went to after-parties. Not an every week or even an every month thing but not a big deal to call up and say, "How about lunch?"
We're both straight, BTW. I don't know for sure how I'd handle it if the situation was otherwise.
