Pet peeve - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

So I have a few. First, I realize it's bothering me more then others, so I don't expect the world to change on my behalf. But I'm wondering what other people's pet peeves are? Are there common ones? Just looking for fun conversation.

My top 4:

4- when people say "let's get together soon", and dont mean it )0(Im guilty of this once in a while)
3- people who post pics of messy kids faces and newly fallen out teeth (ugh gross!) on facebook or show them to you
2- people who use the turn lane to cut in line in traffic (no not the zipper merge, when they pull into it, speed up, race as far forward, then stop to merge back in their lane)
1- when offices or schools have a thanksgiving meal, with all the usuals BEFORE I have to work my butt off cooking one. So it just doesn't seem like a special once a year meal. Ugh! I banned my husband from participating this year.

So what are yours? Anyone have some strange ones? Anyone know of anyone who had a massive amounts, or really strange ones?

1. people who don't move out of the way for emergency vehicles
2. people who turn out from a side road in front of you and creep along well under the speed limit, when there was no one behind you and they could have waited for you to pass
3. people who never clean toothpaste spit off of their bathroom faucets

YES!!

And people who take their sweet time going through green lights, screwing everyone behind them.

Oh, and old people who talk about how the world is going to hell and how "in the olden days" everything was better. They never stop to consider that they are also making the world a miserable place by being an old crochety whiner.

People who don't return calls.
People who are late or don't show up at all.

I think that a lot of my pet peeves revolve around time. I don't like it when people are late or if they try to make vague plans like, "On Saturday, we'll get together. I'll call you." No solid plan, just vague and with the expectation that I should just wait around for the call. So I guess one of my biggest pet peeves is people not respecting my time.

Another vote for #2. I don't understand why people do that!

Yep that one to. I'm not so sure that it's a pet peeve of mine but it's something that I find odd and inconsiderate. I don't understand why some people won't pull over when they hear sirens. It's usually less then a minute of one's time. If someone I love was waiting for that ambulance I'd want it to get there as fast as possible.

See, for me it is about time.
