My oldest grandparent (paternal grandpa) was born in the 1890s.

What was the birthdate of your oldest grandparent?

1892. My paternal grandmother. Her husband was two years younger than she was.

She died in 1975. I occasionally still dream of her and of being in her house.

My oldest grandfather was born in 1900 and died well before I was born in 1980. Actually, both grandfathers died before I was born, and my grandmothers had both passed away by the time I was 20. ~ This is probably the biggest downside of people who have their children past the age of 30-40.. No living grandparents.

My paternal grandfather was born in 1918, my paternal grandmother in 1920. Both are deceased.

Both of my maternal grandparents were born in 1921. My grandmother is still around and will be 94 this July.

Oldest was 1890 something. I remember thinking As a kid how cool to be born then! And now my kids are the ones born at the turn of the century.
