I don’t believe Maryland has a statue of limitations on felony rape. If you believe you can help protect others against a rapist you can contact the police. That would be the legal and ethical recourse. Not telling his wife.

I don't know what, if any, penalty (criminal or civil) there might be for contacting the police and claiming that you were raped by someone several decades ago without the slightest bit of proof or confirming evidence or witnesses, but I think I would check with a good lawyer first to find out before poking that tiger. It might turn out to be a can of worms that you will wish you hadn't opened.

I agree, how can you accuse someone when there is no proof but most states have no statute of limitations for sexual abuse. NJ was just in the news for saying it.
