Do you delete people off of your page who do not speak to you or who you are upset with?
I dont know anyone who does this other than the "oh my god" teen girly types who FaceBook from their iPhones. You know the ones, they start every sentence with "Oh my god .........." and say "so" and "like" every other word they speak. As in "Oh my god, I am like SO mad at Channing, she is like so full of herself and like oh my god, I just am not going to be like friends with her anymore". Then a day later they meet at Starbucks and are best friends again.
I'm still debating about getting one. Not too sure I need one at this point though.
I had mine set up for about a year before I even started using it. It has its perks...I have a lot of family and friends that are just too hard to keep up with in other ways; and some, quite frankly, really suck at keeping in touch. So in that way, it's been really beneficial for me.
I've managed to reconnect with a few people I had lost touch with years ago because I've moved around so much and I also have quite a few friends from CityData on Facebook. I've never deleted anyone but a few of them aren't into it as much as the others but I'm fine with that.
I was on FB about 2 weeks. More hassle than it was worth. Reconnected with old 'friends' who really could not have cared less that I was on F/B or not! Opened my eyes to the reality that some relationships cannot carry on forever and 'certain people' are still vacuous.
I am surprised at people that have 500 + friends. Really? You want people you barely know to have details about you? Strange.
This really does perplex me! Why do people, everyday people who aren't in the public eye, have 500+ friends? Do they just randomly add dozens of people each day they don't even know? I know for a fact if you do that you'll probably get friended by at least half, because people are curious and then are either too lazy or forget to delete you even after they realize they don't know you from Adam.
I'm going to delete mine when I get the free time to write down a few people's contact information. Facebook = Myspace except more people that actually knew you now have the ability to digitally stalk you. At least Myspace was just people I didn't know trying to hook up.
