Hard to believe 129 million dollars [out of 8.5 billion] makes the difference between good schools and returning to the dark ages.

I'll thank the legislature every time I go to the store and the sales tax is 1% less than it was.

But from other posts you seem to think our public schools are already in the dark ages. Will they be better off if we take away $129 million?

Kids who don't want to learn - won't learn - no matter how much money you throw at schools.

Kids who want to learn will do so . . . even if in an old school building w/ crowded classrooms.

When scores don't fall despite the budget cuts, then perhaps it will be evident that schools are only as "good" as the parents and students who are attending them. All the "bells and whistles" can't buy an education for students who don't give a flip and whose parents take no responsibility for the success or failure of their children.
