so im flying in from london soon to meet a few people to try and look for some work , but i wanna check out the areas of wake forest cary carrboro chapel hill to see what one id prefer to live in!!! can i just stay downtown in those areas to get a good idea or do i need to drive around or have someone drive me around.
will i be able to see what i need to just by being down town is the question as when i move there i wanna be within a short drive of a place that hasa things for my partner and kids to do

I think you'd be much better off if you rent a car or allow your friends to drive you around the different areas. If you rent a car, make sure it has a GPS that can help you get back to your hotel in case you get lost.
