In Massachusetts carrying pepper spray is against the law. In NC they sell pepper spray at the DMV.

Well, I'm glad I don't live in Massachusetts. I carry pepper spray every day for my job (issued by my job). It's not just for spraying humans-it can hinder a dog attack too. I guess in Mass, the state doesn't have anything else to worry about than hindering its' citizens from repelling dog attacks.

Against the law? I thought you just had to get a permit to carry it.

Here in NC you can carry a handgun with a permit which is pretty easy to get.

Be nice to everyone, kinda like in a hospital universal precautions, expect everyone you don't know is carrying a weapon!

Default Mumbles Menino- HA!

Menino spoke at this scholarship ceremony I attended for some of my students and I couldn't understand a thing he was saying.
Mumbles Menino- you hit the nail on the head!

At a recent neighborhood watch meeting in my community the sheriff's deputy told the group that if you feel threatened it is "perfectly legal to shoot through the door once you have told the possible intruder you have a gun". That was a shocker!

Default Moving to NC from Mass, should I get gun permit there?

Hey,

Can't wait to move to Wilmington, NC from Mass, north of Boston, winter sucks.

I was planning on getting my gun permit here. Should I wait and get it in NC??
Thanks
