Looking over NC's proposed medical marijuana bill briefly, it seems to be a good piece of legislation. Interesting part will be to see how the law is applied after it is enacted. Even after it becomes law, there will probably still be a few party poopers around, looking for loopholes. So be sure to check with your doctor.
Well the problem with the last couple of sentences is that it isn't going to become law. To me reading the bill was like reading a pro-pot brochure. They would have been better off making it more sterile and boring and not including things like sleep apnea and diabetes.
While there is early evidence that weed can help with these conditions, for the most part you're only talking about a few months old for most of the studies and for sleep apnea it's on rats.
Insult the IQ too much of those in charge they are just going to turn you off.
Now, PTSD might be a good thing for treatment but that's not listed as a pre-approved condition. Of course everyone can get in under the catch all paragraph.
which is ridiculous, considering the excellent growing conditions we have in the western part of the state.
Seriously - NC would have insta high demand and a profitable crop (you don't just smoke it)... why won't people get out of their own way? It's amazing to me.
Oh and NC is a decriminalized state, which may be news to some people
Light green - State with legal medical cannabis
Mid green - State with decriminalized cannabis possession laws
Dark green - State with both medical and decriminalization laws
Purple - State with legalized cannabis
For under half an ounce, and you can still be fined and even hauled in to jail for a joint at the officer's discretion and their desire for paperwork.
