FWIW, we in H'ville actually turned our heater on for a bit yesterday morning. T'was a chilly night before, and we had left a bunch of windows open overnight. Never thought it would get as cold as it did. Weird weather!😳

In about two months, snow will start falling in the highest elevations.

For those of you who have been through similar cycles, if it rains a lot in what's supposed to be Summer, does that mean that the cycle continues into the Winter? Should I expect to get the snow blower serviced and ready for heavy snow this Winter?
Typically "hard" NC winters run in cycles of every 8-10 years with the last one being '10-'11, so we shouldn't be due for one for a few more years. However, weather wise this has been the most bizarre summer I can remember. I wouldn't stick my neck out on any predictions.

At noon, it is partly sunny and in the mid 70s in the Triad. Another glorious August day!

Meteorologists at WXSouth foresee lows in the 40s coming for the Triad and other parts of the state:

WxSouth
I like central NC to central VA for record lows Monday Morning #vawx #ncwx Upper 40's. Yes Upper 40's in August. Many in low 50s to #gawx

78 degree high today in the Triad, 79 in the Triangle. Yet another August day that is a candidate for best weather day of the year.
