Again I'd like to see the total staff budget for the last 3 governors. From what I've been able to find Bev P reduced the number of bodies on her staff to the low 50s from Easley's mid 60s.

The only thing I found on McCrory was he had 38 staffers.....but that was like 6 months ago and probably has grown.

Lawyers always say, don't ask questions you don't know the answers too, and I might not like the answer to who spent less on their staff, but I'll bash him if he's spending more than the last 2 governors.

I guess you have to expect that when the last 2 democrat governors have been or would/will be in foot races with grand juries.

Long time lurker. First time poster here. Hi all.

Several questions I have with this thread. Its what made me join.

1. Quite the leaning opening post, wouldn't you think? Seems the OP is trying quite vigorously to lead posters against the governor. Not very objective wording.

2. One thing I've noticed is how many people here are liberals/progressives. Not knocking that. It is what it is. Just strongly curious as to how many people voted yes or no in this poll but didn't really abide by the rules. They didn't vote for McCrory in the first place.

3. The man hasn't been in office one year. Yet we're trying to see how many will vote for him again (three years from now)? Wow.

I voted for him last year. But whether or not I'll vote for him again has yet to be determined. I'm a reasonable person who will weigh all the facts when the time arises. In three years this state may be doing better than it has in many, many years. Or it may be spiraling downward. But for me to make my voting decision now on the past eight or nine months of his governorship would be rather ignorant on my part.

Welcome to the board! Since you're new here, you need to know that McRory and the GOP are evil, hateful and always wrong no matter what. These 2-minute hate threads pop up about once a week. McRory and the GOP are NC's version of Emmanuel Goldstein.

I like him better than our last governor so far, even though he's got problems. Her job performance was ... well. No comment.

Need to let some time go by before I decide what to think of him.

It would depend on who he runs against.

best,
toodie
