Hi, just wondering if North Carolina has recycling in its towns/cities. Im not a tree hugger, but i dont have a problem seperating paper, plastics, glass.... Was just curious...

Yes, even at the county level. Some areas have stricter rules than others.
However this state produces and use a lot of styrofoam with out a care.

Most counties have convenience centers where you can drop off paper, plastic and glass. Many towns also have businesses which collect recyclables along with the regular trash.

If you are wondering about a particular city or county, go to that entity's web site and look under departments. It's probably under Solid Waste or Sanitation or something similar. Some local governments have consolidated services. For example, Forsyth County & Winston-Salem share a joint Utilities Division under which is the Sanitation Dept that operates Solid Waste Disposal and Recycling.

Most do (it s 2013, after all). In fact, it's against the law in NC to throw away plastic bottles, though it is not enforced.

You'd have to check each municiplaities commitment to recycling on a town by town basis; there is not a universal policy. Isn't that how it is where you are now?

And for the most part, you don't need to separate recyclables; more and more of the places or pickup companies just have one bin and they do they separating.
