Fayetteville's metro or "greater Fayetteville" region has about 400,000 people.

Cumberland's population is a more useful statistic.

I'm always for taller buildings in NC, but Fayetteville biggest challenge is beautifying its major roads which are responsible for it's reputation as the ugliest part of NC or "armpit".

I'm sure there are tons of good looking guys though which makes up for what the city lacks in attractiveness.

Fayetteville metro 526,000, 2nd largest city in North Carolina by square miles. 150 mile². Fayetteville is the only large city in North Carolina that has its own utility. That is unique to Fayetteville and enables us to grow still as the urban area of Fayetteville continues to develop around the city, those developers must petition the city for utilities thus extending the city boundaries. There is a building boom in those areas along with the the one billion dollar interstate infrastructure project I295. As the favor outer loop extends into those areas those areas it is developing very quickly very quickly.Since I moved in from Los Angeles I've seen exponential growth that is not being reported. By by next census I would estimate fate but will surpass Durham and Winston-Salem to be the 4th largest city in the state by population. Fable is also unique and it used to be the temporary capital of North Carolina pernorth carolina. It's a 100 years older than Raleigh or Charlotte. It's very beautiful with the cafe river basin having natural waterfalls what are falls and other natural amenities. Cultural cultural arts are plentiful. Fayetteville will soon break around on its 85 million dollar performing arts center to be one of the largest and most there to the art in the state. A 65 million dollar state museum on the Civil War increase reconstruction. Over a 100 million dollars in private development downtown next year alone. Another 100 million in development for 2024 25 including mid rise development. Things are coming together nicely here this is Fayetteville's decade where it will rise and shine amongst North Carolina cities.

The posted picture was just something I pulled off of Google Earth earth. The building in the foreground is residential only 5 stories but I've stories but condo selling for just under one million dollars. There aren't a lot of of tall structures compared to Los Angeles but it is well built. The historic buildings have been renovated there are beautiful homes and offices within these older buildings. Beautiful parks and public spaces. The performing arts center will be home to the oldest Symphony orchestra in the state, the fable Symphony orchestra. The Cape fair regional theater is undergoing a 19 million dollar renovation and expansion next year. Those who haven't been to the city in a couple of years would not recognize it. Come back in 2 years from now and it will be completely different. I love this place so much to do here.

Many factual errors and predictions there that won't happen, but I'm glad you like Fayetteville.
