Hello -

To make this somewhat short, I have lived in NYC for 6 years, and trying to work full-time as a paralegal while attending art school. I hope to be accepted at an excellent school (private art school) in southern pines. The cost of living and pace is much cheaper than nyc. Of course I will continue my legal work, but will probably just do the part-time thing...and I would look forward to a break from the long hours, cost and pace of NYC. Does anyone have any information about legal jobs (30 hours a week), and apartments or shares available in and around southern pines, raleigh etc. Thanks for any help or information...My family lives all on the east coast, so I prefer to stay somewhere where I can drive 10 hours, versus across the country.

Thanks!

Raleigh would probably be perfect for you. The rent there is about $750 per month for a 1 bedroom- 1 bath in North Raleigh, the preferred area in Raleigh to live. My daughter lives in Raleigh and she had an apartment in the Autumn Winds I believe it was called. The worse part about it was she was on the 3rd floor and I am asthmatic. The first flight wasn't too bad. But by the time I hit the landing on the 3rd floor, I nearly needed oxygen. But she had a very cute little apartment that was perfect for a single. It had a Living room area, dining area, kitchen, pantry, utlity room, 1 good size bath room and a good size bedroom. She had sliding doors that came out to a balcony and access to the pool. It was really a cute little place to live. She is a paralegal with a firm out there and if you would like to contact them, let me know and I will get the contact information from her for you. They specialise in medical malpractice and wrongful death claims.

hi Bethany, sorry I didn't get back to you. It looks like I will be living near the art school where I recently got accepted, in Southern Pines. Do you know about the Moore County area? Thanks. Right now I am sending out my resume for part-time paralegal/office jobs. Thanks for any assistance.
