I looked at property there but decided against it because the house was placed on the lot so as to create a very dark atmosphere inside the house.
But later I read that the building inspector allegedly took bribes to let some of the lots pass perc test. The developers had to find other ways to deal with the perc problem once it came to light. I believe there were charges against the building inspector.
I would check the property carefully.
I hate to hear that! Unfortunately, there are some crooked building inspectors out there...
The good news is that Anchors Landing is a lovely community, and there is likely some more homes available in that neighborhood that would be ideal for your needs. We have shown quite a few homes in that neighborhood - and they are usually very well constructed and beautiful homes!
Anchors Landing normally has quite a few homes on the market - Your Realtor should be able to show you what all is available in Hickory that fits your price range and meets your needs!
Hickory is full of neighborhoods very similar to Anchors Landing! I hope you find the home you are looking for!
