NC cities...more fast paced these days? (Raleigh: live, moving)

Do you consider North Carolina's cities more fast past paced these days or still laid back?

I thinks it's a little of both, at least from where I sit.

I've always lived in large cities in the past before I relocated to NC.

I find it difficult to name any of the places I've been here in NC as "cities". To me, they're more like "towns".

As far as being "more fast paced", I can't say if it's faster. But I wouldn't call it "fast paced".

As someone born and raised here, it is more fast paced. It started in the late 80's and really took off about 10 years ago. The influence of people moving in has changed all dynamics.

If you want laid back, to to the eastern part of N.C. but not near a large city.
