From Charlotte Center City Partners

Since 2013, Charlotte Center City has added more than 6,000 apartments, 2.65 million square feet of office, 1,015 hotel rooms and 567,000 square feet of retail. Center City is the fifth-busiest CBD in the U.S. for office construction behind only New York, Chicago, Seattle and Washington. Charlotte is the 10th-busiest metro area for housing permit activity. More than half of all apartments being built in the MSA are within three miles of Trade and Tryon. The continued investment in Center City is being driven by the ongoing economic growth of the region coupled with a desire for urban living and work environments.

With all the apartments and housing built in Charlotte since 2010 US Census, I expect the population per sq. mile will go up in the 2020 US Census.

From 2010 t0 2019 Center City added 6.1 million sq. feet of office space.

That sounds neglectful to me. You don't have to spend lavishly in order to have folks running the state doing so in adequate, up-to-date facilities.

Nice to see them get a large tenant though and make sure it gets out of the ground.

My money says the signage on top lights up pink for their brand color.

I like this building.

Groundbreaking photo for Project Slugger in downtown Greensboro. The tower will also be home to First National Bank's regional headquarters. Construction on the 1,000 space 8 story parking deck across the street will soon be underway. The deck will serve the parking needs for Project Slugger, developer Roy Carroll's planned 20 story office tower/Aloft Hotel/apartments/retail project and baseball game patrons.

Project Slugger location

Roy Carroll's planned 20 story office tower/Aloft Hotel/apartment/conference center and grocery store. The deck is in the center.

Just found out First National Bank will be the anchor tenant with the Triad regional headquarters so it will likely be called the First National Bank Tower or FNB Tower. The building will have a restaurant and retail on the ground level.
