As one who is amused, curious, frightened and interested in politics and as a future resident of Mt Airy I am eagerly awaiting responses from Forum participants regarding the "Political State of North Carolina's Union." I read that a new Speaker of the House was recently elected (Democrat) and that he plans to push a "Moderate Agenda". First what would constitute a moderate agenda in North Carolina ? Secondly, How is the state divided in terms of Republicans, Democrats, Independents and others? Thirdly, a crystal ball will be neccessary to answer this one : What do you see as the future of the State? What are the primary issues hovering over the state? As always all responses are welcome however I am curious about the opinions of current residents.
