Does anyone know a decent electrician in the Lake Wallenpaupak area. I came up here tonight and some of the heaters in the bedrooms do not work. One bedroom is fine.

It is electric heat. I did check the breakers and change the batteries in the thermostats but dont know what else it can be

Thanks
d

are they all on one central stat or do they have individual stats in them too?

many times they have both.the electric heat may come with stats installed so they leave them in place. the main stat may be calling for heat but the ones in the individual units arent calling yet. that sounds like what it is as if you got power and only some are on there isnt much more it can be.

try checking the breakers again by flipping them on and off.

99% of the time its either the internal stats or a bad circuit breaker. placing a test light from the breaker load side to ground will show if the breaker is good.

Thanks. I had an electrician come out today and at least one thermostat is not sending signal to wires ; wires are fine. We have individual thermostats in each room which helps as the kids could sleep in the living room.

Thanks for the heads up. Of course dh had to work this weekend.

Default glad it worked out

I was just going to suggest Harvan and you beat me to the punch. I don't recommend most contractors but he is good. Can't say enough about him. I have an electrician and a painter that are excellent. The rest of these guys up here, meh.

Would love to know the name of the painter. Need someone meticulous who can repair popped nail heads and follow up with a great paint job.
