Read in the Dispatch today that Westfall is getting a Taco Bell. Does anyone actually eat at Taco Bell. Why can't we get an Olive Garden or a restaurant worth eating at?

not sure where Westfall is but you're comparing apples to oranges. Taco Bell is a fast food type place. Olive Garden is a sit down and relax type place. Unless there's enough local clientele to support such a place, it's probably not going to happen.

Well my first guess would be someone that has some capital involved in this venture has figured a Taco Bell is going to make money and no one thinks an Olive Garden would......Just a guess.

Edwardsville is pretty close to W-B/Scranton area. There's a Taco Bell on Wyoming Ave just south of Market St. I don't go there, but I suppose people do.

Someone opening a business is not a punishment or a reward to the local residents. You can "get" an Olive Garden. Just raise the capital, perhaps by developing and sharing a business plans that demonstrates a reasonable expectation of return on investment.

I will admit to having eaten some Taco Bell (takeout). It is pure fast food. Not great but cheap fast edible if you like "Tex-Mex". Probably no better or worse to most than the endless burger fast food places. If someone wants to invest in building a TB (even in Westfall...where is it?) good luck to them. It is their money and I suspect TB and the investors have done market research before deciding.

If people patronize the TB, it could motivate others to build something down the road, like uh...an Olive Garden(?).

I like Taco Bell. I think Olive Garden is disgusting. Ironic, yes?

i'm smack dab in between the two (outside of pittston) so if i really want taco bell its about a 30 minute trip to hit the one by the wyoming valley mall and come home. sometimes more depending on how messed up 81 or 315 are...

What's any different between them?? Or is the idea of something with a Mexican background somewhat offending to you?? Either way none of them are good for your health...they're all fast food even though you sit and eat at Olive Garden and you don't know what mood the cook is in that night when you go at any of them...so what's the difference?? I've been to Olive Garden and been served still cold food and mediocre salads...their bread sticks are the best but other than that what's the big attraction??
