For me? I'm not sure I would have done that in my twenties let alone now that I'm almost fifty. But I do have a cousin that made a five day a week run from Charleroi to Carlisle to work at a trucking company depot. On the best of days that's a three hour run one way. So six hours travel, eight hours work left him with ten hours at home. Eight for sleep and two to spend with family. To this day he has no explanation why he did that for four years other than he needed a job and couldn't move there.
