Hello everyone we are looking to relocate to a different area of pa. We are transplants wisconsin and NJ young ages 37 and 42 married no children currently living in colonial park. We like it alot but We both have good jobs and looking to buy in a different area. Looking to do this around the end of this year maybe next year. As far as our budget runs $250 to $320k. We are new to Pa but looking for a rural area around this price range with minimal neighbors and a nice size yard for our small dog (1 acre). We are friendly couple who likes our privacy. We prefer 35 to 45 minute commute to large area for anything. Any towns that are diverse is a plus. Any ideas???

I would suggest looking into Tioga or Potter Counties. Those places are in north central PA not NEPA.

Susquehanna and Wayne Counties are perfect for you and your budget. I moved from the Union Dale area (near Elk Mountain) last year and I had over 2 acres and was in the middle between Binghamton, NY and Scranton, 45 minutes each way. Easy access to Interstate 81. My closest neighbor was down the road from me, just close enough. Good luck! (BTW, a man from NJ bought my home)

It’s not quite rural, but you can probably otherwise find what you’re looking for in the outer parts of the Back Mountain region, across the river from Wilkes-Barre. It’s exurban, at the very least, and very close to truly rural areas.
