Hi I was wondering if anyone had any info on flooding in green ridge, specifically on Von Storch. I found a really great apartment and was wondering if the flood project was coming along or if there is still a risk of severe flooding in that area. It seems as though the apartment is slightly uphill, but I don't even know if that would make a difference. I am desperate to get out of lower south side (I live very near to the Mango Grill and Lounge) and this place would be perfect. Thanks!

As luck would have it one of our regular forum posters happens to be the president of the Lower Green Ridge Neighborhood Association and could probably address your inquiry to a "t." Expect weluvpa to come along soon to help.

The only spot that floods is at the viaduct at Green Ridge St and Von Storch but it can be gotten around.

Von Stroch is not in the flood zone. You'll be fine. Welcome to the neighborhood.
