Hello all!

A friend of mine from here at King's has a 2002 Land Rover and is aware that I'm somewhat of a blabbermouth on this forum, so she was wondering if I could perhaps use my powers of being "suave" (as per coartist88's terminology) to inquire as to what local service shops or mechanics might be recommended to perform work on her vehicle. She commutes into Wilkes-Barre from the southeast part of Luzerne County, so any recommendations perhaps in the Blakeslee/Brodheadsville/Lake Harmony areas would be especially appreciated.

I'll be forwarding your replies to her campus e-mail account (If we're lucky maybe she'll start posting on here as well, as she's similarly an NEPA booster whom we could direly use to help counter-balance the "Debbie Downers" on here).

Thank you very much in advance!

Yes. That would be Bennett Jaguar/Land Rover of Wilkes-Barre, roughly across the street from the Woodlands and next-door to MotorWorld. That's one recommendation, but I believe their prices might be on the steeper side, given that they are a specific dealer. I think she was hoping to get more responses geared towards smaller auto repair shops or mechanics that work on these vehicles. I realize not many in NEPA drive Land Rovers, so this could be a challenge though.

Paul, I bring my Range Rover to Bennett in Allentown. I know they have a great service department in their Plains facility. It's Bennett Jaguar- Land Rover of Wilkes Barre. They are pricey but that comes with the territory of owning that kind of vehicle. They are good people to deal with.

My best advice would be that she trades it in on something non-british. Had a Jag for a couple years, never again.
I once had a guy come up to me while pumping gas and say, "hey buddy, I bet you get a lot of women with that car." My response was, "yeah, they usually come out to see what's going on when I break down in front of their house."

HA! I'm not a luxury vehicle-driving type of guy, but if I were to ever purchase one it would have to be an Audi. I've heard nothing but wonderful things from Audi owners about their quality, craftsmanship, and reliability (plus I just love the sexy design of the TT Roadster).
