I want to work until the end of the term as an instructional assistant for a Special Education student. I'm not sure at this point if I am going to finish my credential in Special Education or find another advising job at a University. I was thinking of calling Keystone College to see what kind of plans they have for the campus in Milford - whether it's growing, future openings, etc.

I'd also be happy working for Delaware Valley, but they don't appear to have any openings.

Suzer,

Do you have your bachelors degree in teaching? Do you know how many credits you need to sub in public schools in PA?

No, I have an M.S. in Educational Administration (Higher Education). In PA they want you to be certified even to sub, but will take you with a B.A.

I don't have any problem with that, iissuing a teaching document is really a means to link you to your fingerprints/background check.

What's the story in New Jersey with hiring full-time teachers to teach hard to staff classrooms if the candidate is enrolled in a credential program but not certified? I got the feeling with Delaware Valley School District that they NEVER need to do this.
