I, too, will be going to Marywood in the Fall for grad school, and so I was in the same situation as you are -- looking for a place to live in or near Scranton and close to the school. I wound up finding a really nice and affordable place in an apartment complex called Summit Pointe -- 108 Summit Pointe Ave. Scranton, PA. If you go to the management company's website (WMAPTS.COM) you can find the complex by looking in "Pennsylvania," and then browsing to find it.
I went for a 2 bedroom, but I think they may have a bit of availability for both 1 and 2 bedrooms during the summer (which was when I was asking for). That was as of 2 weeks ago though. It's 9 minutes from Marywood. Just thought I'd mention it, if you hadn't come across it yet.

Hmm, I figure I might as well add to the discussion positively as opposed to just leeching resources.

I called the Lofts at the Mill, and the lady mentioned something about building new lofts, one bedroom ones, which will include $900-1,000 (not bad, considering utilities are included), as well as 1,500 a month lofts That's well out of my range, and I can't afford the 2 bedroom ones, either. (1,600/month). It's a shame, because they look really nice.

The lofts are really nice, and they're only a stone's throw away from Nay Aug Park. I have a friend who lives there in one of the smaller units, and he's quite happy there. I'd consider living there myself in a few years if it wasn't such a long jaunt to downtown, where I'll probably be working (I want to live within walking distance of Center City). The last time I was visiting my friend, the parking lot at the complex was littered with out-of-state vehicles, indicating that a lot of new transplants to our area are finding their way to this complex. This is why, contrary to what WeLuvPA might tell you, I firmly believe another similar project in downtown would go over very well.
