I took a walk at the Tubs Natural Area near Bear Creek and picked up a few pieces of garbage. What a nice place to spend some time outdoors on a beautiful day . unfortunately, saw quite a bit of garbage and didnt have a bag, so what i picked up i held while walking.

I took a long, hot shower.

--------

Seriously, every day for me is "earth day." I do not litter, I reuse things whenever possible, I do my best to conserve gasoline (though in my job it's very difficult), I do not turn lights on unless I need them, I avoid using harsh chemicals / aerosols (though I admit I prefer foam hot cups over paper cups).

I hate bandwagons that people and businesses jump on just because it's in fashion to do so- especially businesses who are cutting expenses because of the ECONOMY but they claim it's because they're "going green." Earth Day has been around for how many years? And only just now these businesses care about "going green?" More like using a popular fad to SAVE and MAKE MORE "GREEN."

Stoymonkey, please do not take this as a personal attack on yourself or your post. I just had to vent. And I did take a LOVELY walk outside today, along the lake, and it was glorious. But I do that many days - I enjoy my beautiful planet EVERY day.

Burned some leaves, and made a lot of smoke, my township has no way of getting rid of leaves.

Burned a bunch of tires and then clubbed some small woodland critters. Then I flushed my used motor oil down the toilet.

Actually I thought it was funny.

Some people need to understand that while they may not understand or appreciate the sense of humor of another person, others do, and enjoy.

Lighten UP.
