My wife had our daughter (now 2 years old) at Inova Fairfax via C-section and everything went very well. Ofter hear the complaint that FFX is a baby mill but if anything should go wrong, I think I would want to be at FFX. We had a private room but I think this depends on what you choose and how crowded they are.

My kids were born at Reston Hospital. I also had kidney surgery there last fall. IMO it's a top quality hospital, although it's been many years since I've been in the maternity ward so cannot tell you much about it now.

I'm having a planned c-section in August for my 2nd child. I choose to deliver at Fair Oaks (with the Greenbriar OBGYN practice). I decided on fair oaks hospital b/c I think their c-section deliveries are most like a natural one (if everything goes as planned), and they have all private rooms (Fairfax does not). Both of those things are very important to me, however, the NICU at Fairfax is really good, and if there was any potential that the baby was going to have issues, that's where I'd be delivering.
