How so? The days are made up later. Your taxes are paying for 180 days of school, and that's what there will be, at some point or another.

Agreed. And someone pointed out earlier- this is a bit of a fluke. People on the weather channel are saying that the country hasn't seen snow like this in decades. A couple of snow days in a row (there is this thing...called a snow storm) aren't just cause to restructure the American educational system.

I also have to throw in, in my personal defense, since the taxpayer comment was in response to a remark that I made, that I am a PRIVATE school teacher. So thank you for your concern, madam, but you don't pay a dime of my salary.

True. And, think of it this way. Friday is going to be made up on Presidents' Day....a full day Monday for those elementary students.
