Will Fairfax County schools have delayed opening? Your predictions please. They make the decision at 5 AM usually.

I wouldn't have thought so earlier, but my wife came home around 7:00 and said the roads here in W. Springfield were getting slick. Of course, she had a rear wheel drive car out at that point too. Looking at them now, the roads (neighborhood streets) are snow covered with a dusting, maybe a little more.

Stafford is on a 2 hr delay more for the slippery issue than the snow but I noticed PWC is completely closed for the day, did they get more snow there?

We're in PWC. I haven't gone out to measure (and I don't plan to ), but I can tell you that our grass is completely snow-covered. Just a pretty blanket out there. Our street is all white, too.

Too bad my son goes to preschool in Fairfax County. :: prepares to brave icy streets in the name of early childhood education...::

We got a dusting but I guess ice was a factor, Stafford announced complete closure for today.

We didn't have anything out my way in Ashburn, but there was definitely a 0.5-1 inch or so on the ground when I got to work in Gainesville

I live in Woodbridge and I had a dusting of really fine snow. More slick walking along the sidewalks than driving.
